About our company
Interview with Bonnie Bruns, OWNER.
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: Our family had a life-changing experience when my husband lost his job and was not able to work for six months in the field he knew best. He decided that I should do what I love, and we worked together to create my dream. After altering and designing clothing, jewelry and furniture lines, I wanted to go to the next level and create my own unique boutique.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A:We are definitely Parker's most unique boutique. From our re-proposed and custom-built fixtures to our affordable prices, to our handmade jewelry, new boutique and shabby chic home decor items, and the special touch we provide our customers with every purchase. We have many items that come in daily (clothing, jewelry, home decor, etc.). We also have a beautiful little photography studio area for customers to come and take pictures for that special occasion.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: I enjoy providing a creative solution for the customer, going the extra mile, hearing how we made their day and then wrapping the purchase in a special way to hand back to them. Every purchase is special and meaningful to me.
Q: What is your companies biggest challenge?A: Our biggest challenge is people finding us. We are located in the beautiful Victorian Peaks Building one block off Mainstreet in Parker. So you have to look to find us but, like a good restaurant, it is worth the hunt.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: I am a proud, hardcore competitive basketball mom. You do not want to sit next to me at a Colorado Hawks basketball game! I have been told I whistle really loud. Everything in our store was made or altered by my ma and my husband with the help of some friends. The large window for the photo area was about to be destroyed when I asked the owner if I could have the window. I altered the window panes to make a beautiful backdrop for my photo area. It is truly a work of art in my store. People come from far and wide to take pictures. Also, I was selected as the sponsor of the year for the Mrs. Colorado Pageant, beating out many name-brand stores. What an honor and a huge surprise.
